11:00-12:00pm Coffee & Donuts - Meet at Marina Point Pavilion for FREE coffee and donuts donated by Kennedy’s of Cambridge.
4:30-6pm Open Nature Center - M naturalist will be at the log cabin. Visitors may drop by to explore and complete an activity.
Friday, May 26
3:30 – 4:30pm Color Ohio’s Wildlife – Meet at the log cabin to color and learn about Ohio’s amazing wildlife.
5pm- 7pm Plant Life Scavenger Hike & Hunt – Meet at Park Side Pavilion #2 for a guided scavenger hike and hunt. Please bring a small bag or basket/bucket to collect items for the scavenger hunt.
Saturday, May 27
12:00-1:00pm Memorial Day Decoration Judging- Be ready for the judges to come around and choose a first, second, and third place winner! First place wins FREE Winter Storage, second gets a $30 gift certificate to The Forum, third place gets a Certificate from Dough Boyz for a Large One Topping Pizza! Winners will be announced at the Memorial Day Celebration!
1pm-2:30pm Leaf Rubbing – Meet at the Nature Center to explore the different plants and nature around Seneca Lake Park. Learn about the different textures plants can have through a leaf rubbing experiment.
1:30-10:00pm Memorial Day Celebration - celebrate our veterans and have a great time by playing games, participating in karaoke, and wining great prizes! Play the jar guessing game for the chance to win a new Char-Broil Grill! Tentatively scheduled at the beach. If not at the beach, then meet at Park Side Pavilion 5.
2:00-3:00pm Guest Speaker – Come listen to William Strawsburgh give a speech at the Park Side pavilion 5 about his amazing experiences as a veteran.
3:30-5pm Balloon Greenhouse – Ever wonder how greenhouses work? Create your own personal greenhouse in a balloon. May get messy. Nice clothing is not recommended. All ages welcome! Meet at the Log Cabin.
6:30- 10:00pm LIVE Music: Side Effects- Come listen to this local band play at Park Side Pavilion 5.
Sunday, May 28
10am-noon History of Seneca Lake Park Hike – Meet at the log cabin for a 1.5-mile hike to explore the park’s natural resources and history. Hiking shoes are recommended. Bring your own water bottle
